I remember them filming in Jonesboro and South of Riverdale GA. My family was going to the flea market that used to be on GA85 and GA138 when the film crew, Snowman and the Bandit came swooping in filmed and left. My brother and cousing were stuck in the median of the highway during filming. My Uncle Chuck and Aunt Betty lived a couple houses down from where Snowman's house was in the film.

I graduated in 1977, I saw the movie at a local drive-in by my house in my 76 Firebird Formula, I have grown up going to car shows and now in a car club and we do our own shows, about 18 a summer!!!I bought a 1978 TA in 78 and still have it, only 10,000 miles!!. I recently bought a frame off restored 1977 Bandit car and it sits in my garage next to my 78. I collect all and anything related to smokey and the Bandit and proudly display it in my garage. I watch the movie still once a week and I never get tired of it, every time I see it is like the first time, just can't laugh enough!!!!, always reminds me of a time when times were simpler and better, nothing like memories-PRICELESS-RON

Great web site. Would love to build a replica truck and trailer down here in Australia. $35,000 for a good W series Kenworth down here. Probably same again for paint and alloy wheels. The Trans Ams are well priced here as well. Finding a 1977 limited edition will take time. Keep up the good work. If you get time can you get a price on freight to Australia. Thank you.
